Review

The Eufy RoboVac X8 is a solid contender in the robot vacuum market, scoring an 82 out of 100. At £449.99, it’s not the cheapest option out there, but it does come packed with some handy features that might justify the price for you, especially if you’ve got pets.

One of its standout features is the Twin-Turbine technology, which gives it a decent suction power of 2000 Pa. It really does a good job picking up pet hair and general debris, so if you’re dealing with furry friends, this could be a good match. The large 0.6-litre dustbin means you won’t have to empty it after every clean, which is a plus, but just keep in mind this model doesn’t self-empty, so you’ll still need to do that bit manually.

The navigation is pretty impressive thanks to the Laser Navigation tech. It does a decent job of mapping your space and avoiding obstacles without getting stuck too often. Battery life is decent at around three hours, which should cover a good-sized flat or house without too much hassle. Just be aware that it’s not great at mopping, so if that’s on your wishlist, you might need to look elsewhere.

On the downside, it’s a bit on the noisy side at 60 dB, which might not be ideal if you’re trying to have a quiet evening in. Also, while it’s good for pet hair, it might struggle a bit with larger debris like crumbs or bits of paper.

In terms of value for money, it sits in a competitive price range. While it’s not the cheapest robot vacuum, it does offer reliable performance and a few nifty features that might make it worth considering, particularly if you prioritize suction and navigation over mopping capabilities. Overall, it’s a solid choice for pet owners or anyone looking for a hassle-free cleaning solution.
