Review
The Jabra Elite 85t is a solid pair of wireless earbuds that manage to strike a decent balance between sound quality, comfort, and features. Scoring an 85 out of 100, these earbuds are priced at £229.99, which puts them in the premium category, so you’d expect a fair bit from them.
One of the standout features is the active noise cancellation (ANC). It's pretty advanced and does a good job of blocking out background noise, making them great for commuting or just tuning out distractions at home. The sound quality is also impressive, with clear highs and a well-rounded bass. You can really tell Jabra has put effort into the audio performance. Plus, the call quality is excellent, thanks to the 8-microphone tech that really helps to pick up your voice clearly, even in noisy environments.
Comfort-wise, they're a win as well. They fit snugly in your ears without feeling uncomfortable, which is important if you're planning to wear them for extended periods. The IPX4 rating means they can handle a bit of sweat or rain, making them suitable for workouts too.
However, the battery life could be better. With ANC on, you’re looking at about 5.5 hours of use, which isn’t terrible but could be improved, especially when you consider the competition. The total battery life with the charging case is decent at 25 hours, but if you're a heavy user, you might find yourself charging them more often than you'd like.
In terms of value for money, they sit at a bit of a crossroads. While the performance is solid, there are alternatives out there that offer similar features for less cash. That said, if you’re after great sound quality and call performance, the Jabra Elite 85t is worth considering. Just be prepared to charge them a bit more frequently if you're always on the go.
